BURTON Albion Community Trust is delighted to be named as the official Charity of the Year of Uttoxeter Racecourse for the second year in a row.
The announcement comes after a phenomenal first year of working together which raised an astonishing £7,552.
Over the year the BACT team have been present at a number of race meetings, hosting the BACT family fun day in summer and also attending special themed evenings.
The money raised will be going towards BACT’s Alternative Education provision, which in the coming months will be expanding into Uttoxeter. It will also go towards to continuing to support our community projects.
BACT Partnerships and Events Manager Stefanie White said: “We are humbled by the amount of money that has been raised. This really helps us continue to support the community through the variety of projects and programmes we offer.
“Not only have Uttoxeter Racecourse given us this opportunity for two years running, they have supported some of our fundraising activities such as our trip to Ghana, which is happening again in April.
“It’s been fantastic to work with Brian and the team to raise the profile of the work BACT does in the community and especially this year having a greater presence in Uttoxeter through our education and health provision. There has already been some great discussions on other activities that we do over the year and we’re really looking forward to working with the team in 2023!’’

As our main charity partner BACT continue to making a real difference in the communities of both Burton and Uttoxeter, through their Healthier, Happier & Stronger strategy.

I would like to thank all of our racegoers for their donations throughout the year and also our entertainments partner, MW Entertainments, who have made a considerable contribution with their activities on our racedays.
