Uttoxeter Racecourse is thrilled to announce it's continued partnership with Burton Albion Community Trust as their official Charity of the Year for an impressive fifth consecutive year. This longstanding collaboration has been instrumental in supporting BACT’s vital community initiatives, with an outstanding £7,289 raised in 2024 alone.
Since its establishment in 2010, BACT has been dedicated to making a lasting impact across East Staffordshire. The funds generated through this partnership will continue to support essential programmes that enrich local communities and improve lives.
John Widdowson, Head of Community at BACT, expressed his gratitude for the continued support: “We are incredibly humbled by the generosity shown throughout this partnership. Uttoxeter Racecourse has played a pivotal role in helping us raise crucial funds to support our work. We look forward to strengthening our collaboration further in 2025, especially through key events like the Family Fun Day and various race days.
Working alongside Brian and the team has been a privilege, and their commitment has significantly elevated awareness of our community initiatives. With the expansion of our programmes in East Staffordshire, we are eager to build on this momentum and make an even greater impact in the year ahead.”
Brian Barrass, Executive Director at Uttoxeter Racecourse, also shared his enthusiasm: “We are delighted with the incredible funds that Burton Albion Community Trust has raised at Uttoxeter Racecourse in 2024. A heartfelt thank you to our racegoers for their generous donations and to our entertainment partner, MW Entertainments, whose contributions have been invaluable.
As our primary charity partner, BACT continues to make a significant difference in the communities of Burton and Uttoxeter. As we embark on our fifth year of partnership, we are committed to raising even more in 2025 and further supporting BACT’s incredible work.”
