Fancy working at an award-winning attraction in the heart of the Staffordshire countryside? Now’s your chance - Uttoxeter Racecourse is looking for up to 50 new recruits as racing resumes after the summer break.
The racecourse, judged Retail, Leisure, Culture and Tourism Business of the Year at the prestigious Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards 2018, is seeking applicants for bar and hospitality roles, as well as recruiting raceday supervisors and managers.
And it will be throwing wide its doors for a Recruitment Open Day on Thursday, September 6, where people can come along and discover exactly what roles are available within this already highly successful and wide-ranging leisure operation. Uttoxeter Racecourse includes not just a wide array of race meetings, but dining and conference facilities, family activities, venue hire opportunities, and special events.
In 2018, thousands of racegoers have already enjoyed a brilliant series of sparkling events including the Betfred Midlands Grand National, Ladies’ Day, and Great British Family Fun Day.
With plenty of big events to come, including the Oktoberfest Raceday (Oct 7), Access All Areas Race Day (Oct 18), Autumn Family Fun Day (Oct 23), and Marstons Beer Festival Raceday (Nov 17), the year is far from finished yet.
“At Uttoxeter, we pride ourselves on providing the very best visitor experience,” says staffing manager Phemie Allbutt, “bringing tens of thousands of visitors to the area every year. That means we are always on the lookout for high quality staff who fit in perfectly with our excellent customer service ethos.
“This is a great opportunity for those who would like to join a committed and vibrant team in one of the country’s finest leisure and tourism businesses.
“What we do here is a team effort and we’d love to meet the right people and have them in the saddle as we showcase this amazing racecourse and county. We have a wide variety of roles available – come down on September 6 and say hello!”
* The Recruitment Open Day takes place at Uttoxeter Racecourse, on Thursday Sep 6, from 2-7pm. For any further information please email Phemie Allbutt on PAllbutt@uttoxeter-racecourse.co.uk.
