Uttoxeter Darts Masters Evening, sponsored by ELITE reception - a raging success, for the third year in a row!
Back and better than ever, the Uttoxeter Darts Masters Evening, held at Uttoxeter Racecourse on Friday 7th October, was a great success!
An electric atmosphere, competitiveness in the air, delicious food and drink, and the opportunity to watch legends of the sport play - it was a great evening had by all. Guests were able to witness Darts Legends up close and personal, as they battled it out for victory in a round-robin competition!
Our V.I.P ticket holders even got to mix and mingle with the players- Andy 'The Hammer' Hamilton, John ‘Old Stoneface’ Lowe MBE, Terry ‘The Bull’ Jenkins and Deta ‘The Heart of Darts’ Hedman before the competition commenced in the players’ lounge, as well as having reserved seating to watch the action of the evening unfold.
The evening even saw some of the audience bid for the chance to play some of the legends of the game, with 16 members of the crowd playing a leg against one of the darts players. All proceeds went to the Burton Albion Community Trust, a vitally important organisation, which aims to make a difference in the local community through a wide range of programmes that aim to inspire, engage and educate a wide range of individuals. We were proud to be working with them not only on this evening but at a host of other events and raceday’s as well.
This was then followed by the main event, which saw the Darts Legends take each other on. After an intense, nail-biting competition, which saw the audience on the edge of their seat, Andy “The Hammer” Hamilton was victorious, winning the prestigious Uttoxeter Darts Trophy for the third year running,
The evening also featured a charity auction, where guests had the opportunity to bid for authentic and licensed sports memorabilia and collectables.
Brian Barrass, General Manager at Uttoxeter Racecourse said: “The third Elite Facilities Darts Masters was a huge success. The atmosphere on the night was fantastic, which saw 16 members of the crowd playing a leg against one of the Darts Legends. This was followed by the main event that saw local darter Andy “The Hammer” Hamilton win the trophy for the 3rd time, defeating Terry “The Bull” Jenkins 3-1 in the final.
The charity auction and raffle were also a huge success, with over £1400 being raised for the Burton Albion Community Trust. A huge thank you to our partners at MW Entertainments for their contribution to the fundraising and also for putting on another memorable show."
The response from guests was incredible, with a number of different individuals saying: “it was the best night I have had in years, thanks!”, “An absolutely brilliant evening, thank you” and “Had the best night again. Thank you!”. Due to the popularity of the event, Uttoxeter Racecourse is pleased to announce that the event will return next year on Friday the 6th October! Look out for tickets which will soon become available in the new year.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Darts Masters Evening 2022. We can’t wait to welcome you all again next year!
