New Summer Jumps Championship Set to Ignite the 2025 Season – Uttoxeter Racecourse Among Key Hosts

A brand-new addition to the British horse racing calendar is galloping into view with the launch of the RCA Summer Jumps Championship, a points-based series designed to celebrate and elevate the profile of summer jumps racing. Set to run from 24th May to 19th September 2025, the Championship includes all summer jumps fixtures across Britain during that period—including ten exciting race days at Uttoxeter Racecourse.

Launched by the Racecourse Association (RCA) with cross-industry support, the Championship aims to bring structure and recognition to the summer jumps season, offering a total prize fund of £30,000 across four categories: champion jockey, owner, trainer, and small trainer (for those with fewer than 30 winners in the traditional British Trainers’ Championship). Winners will be determined based on a points system tied to race placements and field sizes.

Uttoxeter Racecourse, a prominent venue in the summer jumps circuit, will play a key role in the Championship, hosting ten fixtures between May and September. This includes races on 25th May, 5th June, 14th June, 29th June, and continuing through to 16th September, giving local racegoers multiple chances to enjoy competitive racing and be part of this new sporting narrative.
